Munich Satellite Navigation Summit 2015

Munich Satellite Navigation Summit will be held from 24 to 26 March 2015.

The theme of the summit this year is "The Future of positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) - A look into the crystal ball."

The technical program includes plenary discussions and updates on major activities in the world of satellite navigation systems:

  • The implementation of the European satellite navigation system Galileo 
  • Modernization of the United States Global Positioning System (GPS IIF, GPS-III) 
  • Status and modernization of the Russian Global Navigation Satellite System GLONASS 
  • Development of new global and regional satellite systems, namely the Chinese COMPASS, Japanese QZSS and Indian IRNSS 
  •  Space systems of differential correction (SBAS) 
  • Future trends in PNT (positioning, navigation and timing) 
  • Problems of navigation on land, air and sea 
  • Space Geodesy, space navigation, reflectometry 
  • CPU and semiconductor trends in the development of GNSS receivers 
  • GNSS in biology, medicine and sport 
  • Useful interaction between GNSS, remote sensing and earth observation

  • Legal issues of GNSS 

Summit is organized by ISTA, the Institute of space technology and applications at the University FAF, Munich.
