Maps and map sets

In what way are map images displayed at mapstor.com?
All the maps at mapstor.com are displayed as GIF images using 256 colour hues. The size of each image is predominantly 200 dpi.

How are the references of maps to geographic coordinates displayed?
Maps are georeferenced at 9 points and these references are displayed in the OziExplorer format (as .map files). The rectangular coordinate grid conforms to the Pulkovo 1942 format (2).

How can I find a particular map?
All the maps available can be found through the mapstor.com search or the interactive navigation system at maps.poehali.org.

How can I pass on to you a map, which you do not have at mapstor.com?
Please send an email to the address info@mapstor.com with the information about it. In return, we are ready to offer you a discount for purchasing maps by agreement.

Purchase of maps

Can I purchase maps on a CD or DVD disk without downloading them from the Internet?
At this time the maps at mapstor.com can be purchased only through the pay download system.

Can I purchase all the maps at once without having to buy all the sets?
No. All the maps are displayed as sets of maps, so you can only buy them in sets.

Can I download only the updates in a certain set without buying the whole set?
No. At this time you have to buy the whole set to be able to download the updates.

Can I buy maps without the imprint poehali.net?
No. The imprint poehali.net serves as the evidence that all these maps have been collected with the help of the audience of the web sites poehali.net and poehali.org. The inscription poehali.net itself guarantees an equally good quality of the maps and accurate referencing for each map.

If you have any problems, mail to info@mapstor.com, indicating the number of the order and the problem. Potential problems can be due to the following reasons:

• Downloading an archive of over 2 Gb is not supported by the browser software Internet Explorer 6 and FlashGet.
• The time for downloading your order is limited and is probably already expired. In this event related messages will be sent to your email address.

Payment for the order

What kinds of payment do you accept?
We accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club International, JCB payments, Webmoney. All payments should be made through the PayPal system or WebMoney system.

How can I pay for my purchase if I do not have an account with PayPal?
We use PayPal as the payment system. You do not have to be a registered user of paypal.com to use the system. To make a payment, all you have to do is input information about the payer and your credit card data. While transferring this confidential information, all the necessary security measures are taken.
 

Use of maps

How can I use the maps that I purchased with OziExplorer?
You have to unpack the content of the ZIP archive with the maps you purchased into the folder C:\Program Files\OziExplorer\Maps or any other folder indicated in the programme settings (File / Configuration / System / File Paths). After that you can open any of these maps and move further through the pages with maps easily because OziExplorer will automatically reclassify all the maps in its database. Can I use the maps from mapstor.com with Touratech TTQV4?
Yes, you can use the maps from mapstor.com with this programme. For that you need to use a programme that convert georeferenced files from the OziExplorer format (.map) to the format of Touratech TTQV4. You can download the converter here.

Can I use the maps in my own project?
You have the right to use maps for the purpose of familiarization for personal use. To use the maps or other materials in your project, you have to obtain our permission. Please use our email address info@mapstor.com for communication. But please note:

• All map images contain “poehali.net” imprint, which is our trademark
• In order to avoid confusion, there should be clear distinction between your product/service and ours
• We would greatly appreciate you citing us as a source of the images
• We are always open to cross-marketing and/or link exchange.
