The old capital of Montenegro, Cetinje, is a more picturesque city, a true museum city founded in the 13th century.
Ulcinj is the southernmost town in Montenegro and one of the oldest cities in the country.
Town of Herceg Novi is one of the most famous resorts in the country, located at the entrance to the Kotor (Boko-Kotor) Bay and on the slopes of Mount Orien.
The small neighboring town of Igalo, which also lies at the foot of Mount Orien, is well-known throughout Europe as a center of health tourism and home to the Simo Milosevic Institute of Physical Therapy and Prevention as well as a number health and recreation facilities.

In the interseasonal period the landscapes that used to be covered with snow are transformed into exciting marked trails for hiking or mountain biking tours, which can lead tourists to the dazzling beauty of its spectacular mountain lakes, such as Black Lake. In addition to hiking, climbing is also an extremely popular activity in the mountains.
Beaches in Montenegro are very diverse. Most of them (Zhanits, Budva, Sveti Stefan, Njivice and Sutomore) are pebble beaches. In the cities, there are artificial beaches made as concrete platforms, most notable of which are Tivat, Herceg Novi, Bar and Igalo. Fine sand can be found on a 14-kilometer long sandy beach between Ulcinj and Ada Bojana, which is also called Ulcinj Riviera, or Velika Beach.
