TomTom announced Navigator for vans

A new navigator called GO LIVE Camper & Caravan is specially designed for owners of mobile homes and trailers. This GPS-device allows you to travel without worrying that you may have difficulties on the road. That's because the developers equipped the novelty with a special software, which makes it possible for the device to compile the routes with account of dimensions of the vehicle and its weight. A novelty is reproduced by TomTom company, the largest manufacturer of satellite navigation devices.

A driver sets up the profile by himself, specifying the parameters of the vehicle. In the future, the navigator itself will compile the most convenient and the shortest routes based on the dimensions of a specific vehicle (size, weight).

Navigator GO LIVE Camper & Caravan warns in advance if on the road there are some diversions or traffic hindrances, and it shows as well the so-called "points of interest" that will be useful to drivers of tourist class vehicles. Now the database contains over 20,000 points of interest, including many service areas and campgrounds.

On top of that, the GPS-navigator supports LIVE navigational services (including TomTom HD Traffic and IQ Routes), which provides up-to-date data about the traffic and weather conditions. TomTom Places and Local Search with Google Among are available among other various services so that a user can easily find a place of interest.

Voice control and scoring of the names of the streets can be chosen as additional functions. The model has 5-incher display with touch control. The screen is capable of withstanding prolonged usage. The set includes a universal mount, which makes it possible to fix the navigator on the windshield or on the front panel of the car.
