Traffic from Google
Google takes you by surprise almost every day. This time users have been given the opportunity to see how busy the roads are at any time any day for a week ahead. All you have to do for it is simply choose a day and then choose the right time using the slider, and the result will be displayed on the map right away. Different levels of highway busyness are marked by bright colours. However there is no way (so far) to find out how long your ride will take – but it is very likely that you will be able to do it in the nearest future.
This technology is based on the so called “average historical” speed. To see for yourselves how it works, please visit the website http://maps.google.com/ and press the button “traffic (jams)”.
