TomTom has launched a summer update of the maps
TomTom company introduced updated maps for navigation. These navigation maps show relevant information about the changes on the road, indicate the exact location of points of interest (POI) and depict other important information.
Most changes happened in Europe where major events are expected. This applies to both mobile and stationary points of the largest sports and entertainment events, stadiums, amusement parks of the Great Britain, Ukraine and Poland.
Experts point out that over the past year (May 2011 - May 2012) the TomTom global navigation map has included 1.5 million kilometers of new roads – 12 000 km of Spain road network and 107 000 km of roads in Brazil.
New maps have more complete coverage of Indonesia, Mexico and Malaysia. South Africa maps now show a network of dirt roads, making it easier to find the most suitable route.
Any user of TomTom navigators can download the maps on his mobile device.
