Yandex.Navigator can now open maps offline

Recently, updated version of the map service "Yandex.Navigator" appeared in Google Play and App Store, which allows smartphone users to download a map of the city in advance.

The new feature allows you to save an expensive mobile data traffic and time. If you download maps in advance, they are loaded faster and are available at any time when you can not connect to the network. This greatly extends the use of the navigation application. If you find yourself in a new city and there is no access to the Internet, you can still use the maps and find the right path.

Experts note that the maps themselves have been updated. Thus, the scheme of the Ukrainian cities and maps of St. Petersburg were replaced on vector ones, so the size of these maps is significantly reduced. When zooming a map the image is showed in the three-dimensional format, which makes the picture more realistic.
